Movies: Children of Men

From the local blockbuster I rented Children of Men.

Taking place in 1927, the movie with Clive Owen and Julianne Moore is basically a story about the world having gone 18 years without a child being born.  A woman becomes pregnant and the race to get her to safety ( away from the government and the extremist non-government faction) is on.

Overall I gave the movie a “B” on the unofficial scale.  Somewhat dark in context and very low regard for the “humanity” of man, this movie has some suspense, but the back-story could use a little more development.  The ending fits my sense of style, but sets up a sequel nicely ( though I don’t generally care for sequels ).

Side note, in the several panning shots of newspaper articles that are on walls, go slowly and catch out some of the headlines, interesting stuff!!
